Construction Worker Dies After Falling From L.A. Skyscraper, Striking Car:

A construction worker died after falling from the 53rd floor of a tower in downtown Los Angeles, and striking a moving car, authorities said.

The worker was on his second day on the job Thursday at the Wilshire Grand Center, where the incident occurred, CNN affiliate KTLA reported.

He landed on the rear of the car and was pronounced dead at the scene, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

A woman driving the car was hospitalized.

Sophomore guard Makai Mason led Yale with 31 points, a school record for an NCAA tournament game. That included going 11-11 from the free throw line, which included some clutch makes late to keep the Bulldogs in front.

Larry Drake won two Emmys for playing the developmentally disabled messenger Benny Stulwicz.

‘L.A. Law’ Actor Larry Drake Dies:

Actor Larry Drake, best known for his role as Benny on “L.A. Law,” died at his home in Los Angeles on Thursday, according to his manager Steven Siebert.

Drake was 66.

He won two Emmys for playing the developmentally disabled messenger Benny Stulwicz.
