Journalist Ed Gordon chatted with Erica Campbell and GRIFF about why he’s been seemingly absent from television for a while, and the exciting journalistic adventure he’s about to embark on. He also talks about the premiere of “Ed Gordon,” his new hour-long TV show on BounceTV. He opens up about his first episode, in which he interviews the mothers of fallen victims of racially charged violence such as Trayvon Martin, Oscar Grant, and Michael Brown, otherwise known as the Mothers of the Movement. He explains how the emotional interview showcases something beautiful and moving about the women and their movement.

Plus, he reveals what he would say is his most memorable interview. He says he’s rarely ever starstruck, as most people he perceives to be just like you and I. But of his most memorable interviewee, he states: “there are a few of us that are different and he’s one of them.” Click on the audio player to hear more in this exclusive interview from “Get Up! Mornings With Erica Campbell.”
