UNIFYING LESSON PRINCIPLE:  People often question the promises of their leaders. How can they come to have assurance in the midst of doubt? In the breaking of bread and making Himself known to His disciples, the risen Christ kept His promises.

CONCLUDING REFLECTION:  Contemporary disciples are in need of clear and compelling exposition of the Scripture by preachers and teachers whose lives are whole-heartedly committed to God. No matter how many times we have heard a Scripture verse, there is always a possibility of learning something new and receiving a greater revelation, because the Word of God is living and active and sharper than a two-edged sword.

PRAYER:  Dear LORD, thank you for what you did on Resurrection morning so many years ago. Because you got up, we can get up from whatever might try to hold us down. We can live victoriously because of your victory on Calvary.  In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen.
