Part 2 of Iyanla: Fix my life aired last night with Le’Andria Johnson continuing to get to the root of her alcoholism. I love the fact that Iyanla had fellow gospel artists Kirk Franklin and Erica Campbell give encouraging words to her and show they love & support her thru this process. Now Le’Andria made it very clear that she doesn’t want to preach or sing gospel music right now. She wants to focus on getting sober, receiving healing and mending her relationship with the Lord. Iyanla made arrangements to get Le’Andria a bed at a rehab facility. The only requirements were for her to go to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting that night and the next night. Iyanla even offered to take her there herself. Le’Andria accepted the terms and went to the meeting. She finally admitted out loud that she is, indeed, an alcoholic. Acknowledgment is the first step! Congrats Le’Andria and we’re praying for your recovery and healing!

Listen, sometimes you gotta step back and get yourself together, whatever that means for you! Even if other people don’t understand it. It’s about your health and wellness. Anyone that doesn’t serve that purpose in your life, step back from them so you can get yourself together. Do what you have to do to be healthy and whole! I’m reminded of the scripture, Isaiah 40:29-31, which says, “29 He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fail 31 But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up on with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”
