This week on the Community Affairs Show, Cheryl Jackson talks with Corinne Bombowsky, Senior Community Development Manager of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and Kendra Woolridge, founder and owner of Janet&Jo.  October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so, annually, the American Cancer Society has a Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk at the Tidal Basin, but this year it’s been REIMAGINED.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic has created virtual activities to raise money toward Breast Cancer research.  Because of COVID the organization runs the risk of a $200 million shortfall.  Ms. Bombowsky shares how Making Stride plan to continue their efforts in spite of the pandemic.  Also, Kendra Woolridge shares her personal passion to help raise month toward Breast Cancer Awareness.  See how her jewelry company Janet & Joe has become apart of her personal fund raising journey.
