Inspirational Lifestyles: Be Still and Know – Approved

APPROVED

All children want to know that their parents are proud of them.  It’s an innate human need to be affirmed in our capabilities and to be praised for our work.  But every good parent will tell you the same thing:  they are proud of their children no matter what.  Children earn and adoration simply by belonging to the parents.

Do you believe that your heavenly Father is pleased with you?  Do you walk in peace knowing that you have his approval?  Beloved, remember that when you are in Christ, his blood covers all your wrongdoing.  You don’t have to wonder if God is pleased with you; your identity through his Son is enough to warrant his full blessing, his true approval, and his fierce love.

Scripture:

Ecclesiastes 9:7 ESV

Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart, for God has already approved what you do.

Prayer:

Father, I am so humbled by the work that Christ did on the cross for me.  I am humbled by the place I hold in your family.  Help me to remember that you are pleased with me.  I know that there is nowhere I can go where I won’t be covered in your love.  I want to live a life worthy of being called yours.
