This year marks 25 years in radio for me and I’ve decided I want to start my journey by living clean.  So, today I started JJ Smith’s 10 Day Green Smoothie Cleanse.  I’m doing the modified cleanse which consist of two green smoothies (one for breakfast and one for lunch), with one healthy meal for dinner, snack, and water/tea.  The only healthy meal a day may consist of a salad, sauteed veggies, fish or chicken (grilled or baked).  Avoid white sugar, meat, milk, cheese, alcohol, coffee, sodas, processed foods, fried foods and refined crabs during the entire ten days.

Drink Water and detox tea:  Drink at least eight glasses of water (64 ounces) per day, and drink detox or herbal teas as desired. Drink the detox tea first thing every morning as it aids the detox process by cleansing the detox organs – kidneys, liver, skin, etc

Day #3 Apple Berry

1 handfuls spring mix greens

2 handfuls spinach

2 cups water

1 1/2 cups frozen blueberries

1 banana peeled

1 apple, cored and quartered

2 tablespoons ground flaxseeds

1 scoop of vanilla protein

Place leafy greens and water into blender and blend until mixture is green juice like consistency.  Stop blender and add remaining ingredients.  Blend until creamy.

Spiritual thought:  Psalm 32:11 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

It’s Okay to Laugh:  Many serious things are going on in the world, and we need to be aware of them and prepared for them.  But at the same time we need to learn to relax and take things as they come without getting all nervous and upset about them.  We need to learn how to enjoy the good life God has provided for us through the death of resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ.

Something we Christians need to do more of is laugh.  If we would just laugh a little more – be of good cheer, “cheer up” – we would find that a little bit of laughter makes that load much lighter.
