Green_Smoothie_Weight_Loss_Tips

This year marks 25 years in radio for me and I’ve decided I want to start my journey by living clean.  So, today I started JJ Smith’s 10 Day Green Smoothie Cleanse.  I’m doing the modified cleanse which consist of two green smoothies (one for breakfast and one for lunch), with one healthy meal for dinner, snack, and water/tea.  The only healthy meal a day may consist of a salad, sauteed veggies, fish or chicken (grilled or baked).  Avoid white sugar, meat, milk, cheese, alcohol, coffee, sodas, processed foods, fried foods and refined carbs during the entire ten days.

Remove the stems from your greens:  Many greens such as kale, collards, etc., come packaged without the stems, but if not, be sure to destem the stalks from all green veggies, as they alter the taste quite a bit.  I like to buy greens already destemmed.

Day #8 Apple Mango

3 handfuls spinach

2 cups water

1 apple, cored, quartered

1 1/2 cups mangoes

2 cups frozen strawberries

2 packs stevia

2 tablespoons ground flax seed

Optional: 1 scoop of protein powder

Place leafy greens and water into blender and blend until mixture is green juice like consistency.  Stop blender and add remaining ingredients.  Blend until creamy.

Spiritual thought:  And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Let it Drop:  According to the dictionary, forgive means “to renounce anger or resentment against, to absolve from payment of (e.g. a debt).”  I like the phrase used by the Amplified Bible in Mark 11:25, “Let it drop.”  How many times have you had a problem with someone and think you have settled it between you, but the other person keeps bringing it back up?

Joyce Meyer says, she and Dave would have a disagreement or problem between them and Dave would say, “oh, let’s just forget about it”.  But she would keep dragging it up again and again.  Dave would say, “Joyce, can’t we just drop it?”  That’s what Jesus is telling us to do here in this verse.  Drop it, leave it, let it go, stop talking about it.
