There’s an article from Christianheadlines.com that definitely raised my antennas right along with my blood pressure. Oh, you haven’t heard? There’s a town about 15 miles from Pittsburgh called Sewickley Heights that slapped married couple Scott & Terri Fetterolf with a “Notice Violation/Cease and Desist Order.” If you thought that this couple was throwing wild parties, playing loud music or maybe even doing hair out of their house without a license you couldn’t be the more off base.

This couple was holding Bible studies from their home to include having meetings where the gospel songs were sung which allegedly posed a problem for the Sewickley Heights Borough in Pa. due to a “zoning restriction.” What’s interesting is that parties, political rallies and book club meetings do not fall under the same zoning

restriction. Asinine? Yes. The good book says that no weapon formed against you shall prosper but they sure do form wouldn’t you say?

Besides, what happened to freedom of speech, assembly, and worship? What’s it called? Oh yea, the Bill of Rights! Well, I certainly hope this couple prevails in this lawsuit that was filed by the Independence Law Center against this particular borough in Pa. The couple faces a $500 a day fine, court costs to include attorney’s fees for Sewickley Heights Borough.

Definitely an abuse of power by Sewickley Heights, Pa. Furthermore, they are bullying this couple into conceding their own religious expression and to that, I say KNOCK IT OFF! …….Thoughts?
