CBS football analyst and retired NFL player Shannon Sharpe gave his opinion on the troubling allegations about behavior in the Miami locker room by Richie Incognito and his admitted use of racial slurs.
The impassioned speech came shortly after an interview with Incognito aired on Fox Sports, where Incognito said he was “embarrassed by his words” and actions.
During the segment, Sharpe said hearing that Incognito was used racial slurs “is everything I need to know about the Miami Dolphins’ locker room.”
Like I said before, this whole situation boils down to one thing—common human decency, respect. Nobody in the Dolphins locker room showed any—including Jonathan Martin.
“If you allow him to do that, you’re encouraging him to do that.” Strong, strong words from Sharpe.
