A person with Ebola-like symptoms is being treated at Howard University Hospital, a hospital spokesperson confirms.

The patient, who recently traveled to Nigeria, was admitted on Friday after exhibiting symptoms associated to the virus, NBC Washington reports. The person is in stable condition and is currently being isolated and tested.

“In an abundance of caution, we have activated the appropriate infection control protocols, including isolating the patient,” said Kerry-Ann Hamilton, hospital spokesperson, in a statement. “Our medical team continues to evaluate and monitor progress in close collaboration with the CDC and the Department of Health.”

The recent Ebola outbreak began in several West African countries. There is currently no cure for Ebola.
