When I started this journey for Domestic Violence Month, I didn’t really know what to expect. The farther I went in, I realized that, as a man, as a person, as a lover of God, I needed to check myself and how I treat people. Domestic Violence comes in many forms…marital rape, physical abuse, verbal abuse, mental abuse, spiritual abuse…the list is endless. The results of Domestic Violence (DV) are crippling and numbing. There has to be an end road, a deliverance that brings peace in the end. I have been privileged and favored to sit with people that have been through the experience and today are making a difference in the lives of others.

Queen Afi is an overcomer and survivor of DV!!! She wears her badge of honor proudly and soapboxes every chance she gets to not only pioneer, but bring healing and peace to many that have been battered, torn and humiliated by DV. In my interview with her, she took me through a journey that had me laughing one minute and then crying my eyes out the next. She lead me on an emotional experience and I began to feel everything she went through both as victim and abuser. As you listen to the interview, you too will be engaged as to how a woman that is not more than five feet tall and small-framed could have wreaked so much chaos and mayhem to her family and intimate relationships. She seems so unassuming and innocent, but when she would turn it on…LOOK OUT!!!!!

Today she is ministering to the masses 24/7 and has a passionate drive to see others delivered from abusers and to see the abuser transformed. When you listen to the interview please leave a comment and if you or someone you know is in a DV situation and want to get out, contact Queen Afi at 202-821-8933 or Facebook her at queenafi.
