YOUR LIFE:

Think about your relationships with others this week (e.g., family, employer, employee, church family). Is there someone you have not forgiven or who has not forgiven you? Seek to allow God’s love to prevail in your relationships with others this week by taking the first step toward reconciliation.

CLOSING THOUGHT:

Abraham’s immediate family and their descendants were splintered by parental favoritism and sibling rivalry—a reality that damaged their internal family relationships. Because of God’s faithfulness to His covenant with Abraham, He chose one (Joseph) through whom His love could be demonstrated, and restored fellowship among them, so that His will could be accomplished through them. God’s love will always prevail where there are those who allow themselves to be transformed by His grace.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Father, you have commanded us to allow your love to prevail in our relationships with one another. Forgive us for failing you in this area of our lives. Help us to make loving others our priority so that they will be drawn to you for your glory.  In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen
