For the 39-year-old Dulaney, a former professional baseball player in the New York Mets organization, “It’s Working” becomes his seventh Gospel Airplay leader — and his record-extending sixth in succession. He one-ups Jonathan McReynolds, who boasts an active streak of five No. 1s.
“It’s a complete honor to be at the top of the chart once again,” Dulaney tells Billboard. “I never could have imagined having a streak like this one. God continues to give me anthemic music that I pray touches the hearts and lives of listeners. The journey continues.”
“It’s Working”, was recorded live on September 17, 2022, at Calvary Baptist Church in Chicago, is an energic and empowering declaration that God is in control, so everything will work out.
