UNIFYING LESSON PRINCIPLE:

A commitment to serve others may require more than what was anticipated. To what extent are we willing to sacrifice for the sake of others? God proved His love for the world through the ultimate sacrifice of His only Son so that all who believe in Him will have eternal life.

CONCLUDING REFLECTION:

Bible scholars have referred to John 3:16 as the “Gospel in a nutshell.” God sent His only Son to die as a once-and-for-all sacrifice for our sins. That is love! He allowed His Son to die to become the first fruit of those who have conquered death. For everyone who believes in Jesus, we will not “perish,” or endure eternal damnation in hell. Instead, we will live with the Holy Trinity in heaven throughout eternity.

PRAYER:

Loving God, we can never thank you enough for allowing your Son to die for our sins. Although we are not worthy, you continually shine your love on us. Thank you again. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
