Hand of man holding stack of US dollars

Yep, you read it right. Two Catholic nuns steals a half a million dollars and hit the casino. Now, that’s what I call thieves in the temple! Dang, that sounds like something from a movie doesn’t it? Well, let’s back up a bit, these sisters worked at a school and apparently the partners in crime told parents that the school is operating on a “shoe string” budget. All the while depositing checks into their personal secret account. I know that things are constantly changing so let me know if I missed something. Thou shalt not steal I’m pretty sure is still a commandment and the scripture that says “fear God” still exists right? I’ll take a gamble myself and bet that’s something that a nun would know. Well these women apparently wasn’t hardly thinking about the wrath of God or man for that matter. This embezzlement thing they had going on lasted for a decade so let’s just call it a crime spree. Hmm, now that I think about it the nun’s crime spree lasted longer than Bonnie and Clyde’s crime spree but I digress. I know there are some who may feel that Christians shouldn’t be hard on them because they are only human yada yada yada but this is the kind of mess that makes some unbelievers mock believers. I wonder how much they won in sin city though? Don’t feel bad for them because they will not see the inside of a prison cell or pay restitution for that matter. I mean, they both said sorry and apparently that was sufficient enough for the archdiocese and the church not to press charges. I wonder why? What do you think?
