This Motivational Moment features Reverend Ron Harrison, father of our host, Ronnette Rollins. He talks about “Unshakable Faith” and gives biblical perspective on what it means to have “Unshakable Faith”.
He references the story in the third chapter of Daniel with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. King Nebuchadnezzar had a huge statue made out of pure gold and had it placed near the city of Babylon. At the dedication of the statue, he decreed that anytime music was played, everyone was to bow down and worship the statue (a disrespect to God). According to the King’s instructions, anyone who didn’t bow down would be thrown in the fiery furnace to die. The brothers, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego refused to kneel and told King Nebuchadnezzar God would deliver them. They went on to say that even if God did NOT deliver them, they STILL would not worship the statue…THIS is “Unshakable Faith”.
Real “Unshakable Faith” allows you to stand in spite of the circumstances. You trust what God WILL do based on what He HAS done. Real “Unshakable Faith” let’s you have a “but if not” trust. God will give you the holy boldness to tell the enemy, you won’t bow down, even if He doesn’t deliver you.
